Columbus Zoo reveals newborn gorilla, mother bonding closely
POWELL, Ohio (WCMH) — The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium announced it has opened the indoor gorilla habitat to allow visitors to view the newest member of the troop.
In a social media post, the zoo wrote that mother Sue and her new baby can always seek more privacy, even though the area has been unveiled to the public.
"As this baby is Sue’s firstborn, she’s extra cautious and has spent extra time in privacy to bond," the zoo noted in the post's caption. "We can’t wait to watch their bond progress and for the baby to get its gradual introductions to our entire Columbus Zoo family."
Continuing its theme of "cuteness" overload, the zoo shared a video of Sue and her little one caressing and resting together.
"We can’t get enough of these two together! " said the zoo. "For now, enjoy these precious moments captured on video."
