Authorities arrested a convicted felon who allegedly armed himself and invaded his ex-girlfriend’s home in Novato, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.

A witness accused him of committing the offense Friday on Indian Springs Road. Authorities stated that the suspect carried what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun, pushed the woman aside and searched for another man inside the home.

Later, Petaluma police pursued and detained the suspect, a Petaluma resident. The sheriff’s office said that a loaded, unregistered gun was found in the suspect’s vehicle and another unregistered firearm was discovered at his home.

Justin Kiesselbach, 38, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, exhibiting a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was booked into the Marin County Jail with no bail amount set.
