I used to work at Apple and know the best £1 buy from The Range to clean ANY watch strap – and Mrs Hinch would approve

IF you wear a watch every day, it’s bound to get grubby.

And for most of us, our everyday watch isn’t the classic metal timepiece anymore – it’s a smartwatch that tracks our activity, lets us send texts and, of course, tells the time.

Luckily, you can make it look brand new with a £1 buy

From Apple Watches to FitBits, they aren’t just a piece of technology; they’re a fashion statement.

But with constant wear, the straps can accumulate dirt, sweat, and oils, which can lead to a very grubby strap.

This is a particular issue if you wear a rubber-based strap in a lighter colour.

Over time, your smartwatch strap can become breeding grounds for bacteria and allergens.

Regular cleaning helps prevent skin irritations and allergic reactions – but also ensures that your watch always looks sleek and stylish.

But how do you bring a battered strap back from the brink of despair?

Luckily, one former Apple employee has shared their hack to make your smartwatch strap look brand new – and it works a treat on the rubbery ones.

“ I used to work at Apple and I had the white strap,” Katie Potts penned on Facebook.

“And this was the only thing that worked wonders.”

The product is The Pink Stuff Cream Cleaner, which is just £1 for a 500ml bottle in The Range

“The Pink Stuff Cream Cleaner is the miraculous cleaner for all hard surfaces which will eradicate stains and leave your surfaces shining,” a blurb on it reads.

“Using 100% natural cleaning particles, this versatile cleaner is tough on grease and grime.

“And won’t leave behind any streaks or smudges.”

According to another Facebook user, it truly is the ultimate way to revive your grimy watch strap.

What can I revive with The Pink Stuff Cream Cleaner?

The Pink Stuff Cream Cleaner is known for its versatility and effectiveness in tackling tough stains and grime. Here are some unusual and surprising things you can clean with this magical product...

Trainer soles

The rubber soles of your trainers can get scuffed and dirty over time. Apply a bit of The Pink Stuff Cream Cleaner to a soft brush and scrub away the dirt to make them look like new.

Car interior scuffs

Plastic and vinyl parts of car interiors, such as door panels and dashboards, can accumulate scuff marks and stains. The Pink Stuff can help remove these blemishes without damaging the surface.

Garden furniture

Outdoor furniture made of plastic, metal, or even wood can get dirty and weathered. The Pink Stuff can help you clean and refresh these items, making them look inviting again.

Pet accessories

Pet bowls, toys, and even carriers can get grimy over time. The Pink Stuff can be used to thoroughly clean and sanitise these items, keeping them safe and pleasant for your furry friends.

Vinyl records

Dust and fingerprints on vinyl records can affect sound quality. Carefully use The Pink Stuff to clean the surfaces and grooves, restoring their original clarity.

“I cleaned mine today with the Pink Stuff and it’s like new,” Lorraine McArdle wrote.

“I’m delighted because I was gonna buy a new one.”

Elaine Hall added that the nifty cleaning product brought her watch “back to life”.

You can also use the cream cleaner on metal and plastic straps.
