Isabella Cavalli is an esthetician and the owner of SKINOLOGYST Aesthetics Clinic UK in Leeds.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, she shared the tips that help to keep her looking youthful.

MAGIC MASSAGES

Cavalli revealed that her “effective” skincare practices aren’t just slathering on pricey over-the-counter potions.

She said lymphatic drainage facial massages have been essential in achieving her desired look.

“This gentle massage technique has been fantastic for reducing puffiness and removing toxins from my skin,” she said.

“I had partial thyroidectomy which resulted in ‘moon’ face syndrome.

“This is when I started to look for ways to reduce the puffiness in my face and I tried lymphatic massage using my hands and gua sha and ice on my face.”

She said having a routine for how often she does lymphatic drainage has given her a “clearer complexion, reduced inflammation, and a healthy glow.”

She has begun to incorporate the massage in treatments for her clients, with many seeing an improvement after just one session.

“Regular lymphatic drainage massages have kept my skin looking fresh and vibrant,” she said.

Cavalli also swears by applying ice or cold compresses to her skin as a “simple” way to rejuvenate it.

“Cold ice massages constrict blood vessels, reducing puffiness and inflammation,” she said.

“They also tighten pores, improve blood circulation, and give my skin a firmer, more refreshed look.

“This is an easy way and costs nothing but cold water to keep your skin looking fresh.

“I have actually done this for many years, I keep two big spoons in my freezer and I use them on my face in the morning and in the evening.

“It’s a miracle trick.”

BEAUTY BOOSTER

Cavalli said microneedling and microchanneling have improved her overall appearance.

The salon beauty treatments stimulate collagen production by creating “tiny punctures” in the skin.

By boosting my skin’s natural healing processes, microneedling and microchanneling have given me a more youthful look.

“Microneedling treatments have helped improve my skin texture, reduce scars and fine lines, and enhance my overall skin tone,” she said.

“By boosting my skin’s natural healing processes, microneedling and microchanneling have given me a more youthful look.”

She said one microneedling session can trigger more collagen production than the body does naturally in one year.

“I would highly recommend this treatment to anyone serious about taking care of their skin,” she said.

“Depending on your goal, you can see the difference in your skin just after one treatment.”

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE

Cavalli said “healthy lifestyle choices” are equally as important as skincare for defying the signs of aging.

She revealed the dietary changes that visibly improved her appearance.

“Staying hydrated is essential, and adding electrolytes to my water has ensured better hydration at the cellular level,” she said.

“This has helped maintain my skin’s elasticity and plumpness, enhancing its moisture and overall appearance.

“Proper hydration has been key in keeping my skin glowing.”

“Cutting down on sugar has made a big difference in my skin’s health too,” she continued.

“High sugar intake can lead to glycation, inflammation, insulin spikes, and dehydration, all of which contribute to premature aging, dullness, and breakouts.

“By reducing sugar consumption, I’ve been able to maintain a clearer, firmer, and more youthful complexion.”

She said managing stress has been “crucial” for maintaining her skin’s health after focusing on treatments and diet.

“Stress boosts cortisol levels, which can break down collagen and lead to wrinkles and sagging skin,” she said.

“I’ve incorporated mindfulness practices like meditation, yoga, and deep breathing exercises into my daily routine to keep stress at bay, and I’ve seen a noticeable difference in my skin’s resilience and health.”
