AC down in parts of Limassol hospital
The children’s and oncology ward at Limassol general hospital has been left without AC since Sunday amid extreme temperatures around the island.
Following complaints by a number of patients, AlphaNews shared images on Tuesday of patient rooms with fans aimed at keeping the heat at bay.
State health services (Okypy) spokesman Charilaos Charilaou said the issue would be resolved within the day.
He specified the AC motor had burnt out prompting the issue, but staff had taken all steps to ensure temperatures remained at 27C for all patients.
