EU auditors: €15bn cohesion funds misspent due to Commission, member states failures

Billions of euros in cohesion funds were misspent in recent years due to the European Commission and member states’ failure to implement appropriate financial safeguards, according to a report published on Monday (8 July) by the European Court of Auditors.
