Over 100,000-hectare northern farmlands lying fallow – Arewa Forum

The Arewa Economic Forum has said over 100,000 hectares of land remain uncultivated across the northern region due to insecurity. This large expanse of land, according to the forum, was previously used for farming and significantly contributed to the country’s food production. Insecurity, and climate change, among others, have threatened food security in the country.
