The Men’s Hoopsfix Pro-Am Final is set, as FunctionAll and Ankd will face-off for a chance lift the trophy next week following the semi-finals on Sunday at Brixton Rec, South London.

In the first semi-final, FunctionAll punched their ticket to the final with a big win over Solent Kestrels, 78-67, riding a Pro-Am season high 26-point performance from Toto Fagbenle.

“We knew we had to win – semi-finals,” Fagbenle said after the game. “The whole team played together, (it was) not just a solo performance, just a great win.”

In the second semi-final, Ankd took down Hoopspace, 48-42, setting up a huge final with FunctionAll next week. Juan Manning led Ankd with an all-round performance as he tallied, seven points, eight rebounds and three assists.

Ankd is the only undefeated team throughout all four weeks of the Hoopsfix Pro-Am and they meet FunctionAll, who also topped their group.

In the first 5th-8th Classification match-up of the day, London United stunned OT Boyz, 48-46.

Mergim Sokoli’s (11p, 8r) bucket with 1:21 min remaining on the clock sealed the win for his team as London United advance to play in the 5th place playoff next week.

Corey Samuels led OT Boyz with 13 points, as Luke Busumbru tallied 12 points and seven rebounds but it would not be enough as they will now be playing for seventh place.

Next up, Surrey left The Minimum Brand stunned in the dying seconds of the game on a Jordan Williams (12p, 8r) game winning lob with a second remaining to beat TMB, 58-57. DJ Parkinson led Surrey with 15 points.

Abi Adebo led TMB with 18 points, and Jordan Gray added 14 points including a beyond half court buzzer beater at the end of the first.

Next week, Surrey will be facing London United for fifth place in a match up between teams that finished bottom of their group in the regular season, while TMB will clash with OT Boyz for the seventh place.
