Justice Barrett Has Not Been a Rubber Stamp

In the Supreme Court's ruling granting former presidents, including Donald Trump, broad immunity for acts committed while in the White House, Justice Amy Coney Barrett carved out what is becoming a trademark move for her: She showed a bit of independence, even from the other members of the court's supermajority, all while keeping it conservative when it counts.
