How Livvy Dunne Celebrated Her Boyfriend's Historic MLB All-Star Nod
Although Olivia Dunne's college gymnastics career has wound down, the LSU grad is now making waves in the baseball space thanks to her relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates player Paul Skenes. The rookie pitcher earned a history-making nod for the MLB All-Star game this week, and Dunne shared how she celebrated the occasion on TikTok.
Dunne posted a quick clip of the celebration, featuring a decked-out apartment with balloons spelling out the words "All Star," as well as pizza, champagne, and a cowboy hat (the game will be held in Arlington, TX). Soon after, Skenes is seen entering with a friend and giving her a hug.
Dunne has been something of a fixture at Pirates games this season, having been spotted several times in the crowd cheering Skenes on. And she's had a lot to cheer for. Skenes is currently 5–0 with the Pirates with a 2.12 ERA across 10 starts, and has a record 78 strikeouts according to Bleacher Report.
Skenes is now the first No. 1 draft pick to make the MLB All-Star team in the year after his draft, a history-making moment. He'll join Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds in the All-Star Game, which takes place Tuesday, July 16 at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
