'Stop putting on the enemy!' Trump won't stop waging war with Fox News
Donald Trump, the only former president and presumptive Republican nominee ever to be convicted of criminal charges in American history, can't stop waging war with the conservative political outlet that settled a $787 million lawsuit for echoing his baseless claims that the 2020 election was stolen.
"FoxNews [sic]," he wrote. "STOP PUTTING ON THE ENEMY!"
This is just the latest hit against the Fox News network Trump spent the weekend bombarding with criticism.
Trump appears outraged that Fox News hosts guests such as John Bussey, a Wall Street Journal editor he raged against for not "explaining" that the former president is the victim of election interference.
Legal experts say there is "precisely zero evidence" that the criminal prosecutions the former president faces represent a plot to undermine his campaign, as Trump repeatedly contends.

Trump's Truth Social message spurred messages of support from angry followers who declared "Fox News is the enemy" and that the network has become “'controlled opposition' for the Left for the Left."
But when Luke Zaleski, a legal affairs editor at Conde Nast, shared Trump's Truth Social post on X Monday morning readers delivered a different kind of warning.
"Trump’s willing to treat his fellow Americans like mortal enemies," Zaleski wrote. "He’s the most divisive character in American history. He’s an effective vehicle for Putin’s aim of destroying the nation. He’s dividing and conquering us and his followers have no idea they live inside a giant lie."
X user Brian Reddy argued the former President has put the conservative cable network in a difficult position.
"Fox News complains when people say they're a mouthpiece for Trump," he wrote, "but Trump clearly believes that to be the case."
Trump's decision to direct hostile rhetoric at Fox News — as President Joe Biden fights off calls to step away from the election — alarmed X user Joyce.
"And yet, all the Media and so-called political pundits can talk about is Biden's age," she wrote. "There needs to be non-stop coverage of Trump and his cronies plan to overthrow democracy."
