1. 239 against Pakistan in Bangalore, 2007
The maiden and only double-century in his career came against Pakistan in the 3rd test of the series at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. He almost went on to score back-to-back centuries in the match, but unfortunately was dismissed on 91 in India’s second innings.
2. 183 vs Sri Lanka in Taunton, 1999
In India’s clash against Sri Lanka during the 1999 ODI World Cup, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid formed an incredible partnership of 324 runs. Both the batsmen went on to score centuries and Ganguly scored what would be his highest score in the ODI format. India went on to post a massive total of 373 in 50 overs.
3. 173 against Sri Lanka in Mumbai, 1997
His second-highest score in test cricket came against Sri Lanka during the 3rd test of the series at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. Alongside Sachin Tendulkar who also scored a century, he formed a 256-run stand which took India to a huge total of 512.
4. 153 against New Zealand in Gwalior, 1999
After losing Tendulkar early, Ganguly didn’t let the New Zealand bowlers take his wicket and smashed them around the park to score his ninth century in ODI’s. He even remained unbeaten at the end of 50 overs and carried India to a good total of 261.
5. 144 against Australia in Brisbane, 2003
Ganguly alongside VVS Laxman formed a great stand of 146 runs in overseas conditions and managed to give India the lead of almost 100 runs during the 1st test of the series at the Gabba.
