The BMC and the Royal Western India Turf Club have signed an agreement to renew the lease of 211 acres that the Mahalaxmi Race Course sits on. This time though, a first since its inception, the club will get 91 acres, while Mumbai’s civic body will ‘develop’ the rest of the land into a central park.
