Man in critical condition after Sotira car accident

A 36-year-old man is in critical condition on Sunday at Nicosia General, after crashing into an electricity pole in Sotira, Famagusta, police said.

According to police, the man at around 5.30pm lost control of his vehicle in Sotira and hit the curb both on the left side of the road and right and crashed into an electricity authority police.

Officers arrived at the scene along with an ambulance crew, and the man was first taken to Famagusta General.

However, due to the seriousness of his injuries, the man was later transferred to Nicosia General, where he is currently intubated and in critical condition.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
