ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany man has been arrested following an investigation into a road rage dispute that took place in April, according to state police. Khymeir Yarbrough, 25, is facing numerous charges.

On April 13 around 4:26 p.m., state police responded to North Pearl Street in Albany following reports of someone being threatened with a gun. Further investigation determined that during a road rage incident on I-787, a driver allegedly pointed a handgun at the occupants of another vehicle, which included two adults and a minor.

Yarbrough was later identified as the incident's aggressor and a warrant was issued for his arrest by the Albany City Court. On July 2, troopers located Yarbrough during a traffic stop on Madison Avenue. He reportedly fled the stop on foot, but was quickly taken into custody on Partridge Street.

State police say Yarbrough was found to be in possession of felony-weight narcotics at the time of the arrest. He now faces the following charges:

  • Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Second-degree menacing
  • Second-degree reckless endangerment
  • Endangering the welfare of a child
  • Resisting arrest

Yarbrough was arraigned at the Green Island Town Court before being remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
