Throughout the early hours and morning the Beeb dedicated rolling coverage to the results.

BBC Breakfast favourite Jon Kay had been picked to front the results alongside Sophie Raworth.

But on Saturday morning it was normal service as Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt were back on the sofa.

The pair brought viewers the latest news from across the country and world.

Viewers were left swooning over Naga and her stunning look during the programme.

The 49-year-old wore a dark green satin zip-through jumpsuit as she sat with Charlie, 61, on the red sofa.

One fan said: “Loving your outfit this morning Where is it from?”

Charlie looked dapper too although one viewer was slightly amused by the length of his suit trousers.

Taking to social media, the BBC Breakfast fan tweeted: “Did Charlie Stayt get 10% off his trousers, he seems to be missing some off the bottom of the leg.”

Meanwhile, Jon Kay recently paid tribute to his co-host Sally Nugent as he revealed they were going in ‘different directions’.

Sharing a studio snap, the 54-year-old said: “A quick pic with Sally today after a very busy six weeks of election campaign coverage on BBC Breakfast.

“Now we’re both heading off in different directions – to cover the results.

“So many BBC News colleagues are working their socks off right now – right across the UK.

“Very proud to be a part of this team.”
