Where Are Possible Future Landing Spots For Jimmy Butler?

There have been many questions about where Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler could end up after there were rumors of teams being interested in the forward.

Butler did announce that he will play out his contract in Miami through the 2025 season, but where could he go in the future? Travis Thomas and Ountae Campbell shared their pick for possible landing spots on NESN’s “Hold My Banner” podcast.

“I want to see him leave the Heat because it’s probably about time,” Campbell said. “But dude, you rang yourself out of all the great teams that are in the NBA basically.”

The 34-year-old has played 14 seasons in the NBA, with five of those seasons with the Heat. Butler has two seasons remaining on his contract, totaling $48.8 million in the 2024-25 season and a $52.4 million player option the season after.

“Is he going to end up in a Lakers jersey? Do we need to be a Lakers fan?” Campbell said.
