Costco is selling a giant 20ft swimming pool with a huge £429 discount
A GIANT steel swimming pool is being sold for 51 per cent off its original price at Costco, offering a potential bargain buy if you’re quick.
The American membership-based retailer has put the sale up in time for school summer hols to provide a cool-off option as the weather warms up.
The Bestway Power Steel pool is 20ft by 12ft with a depth of 1.2m.
Its original price tag was not cheap at £849.95 – but now it’s down to £419.98, according to a post in hotukdeals.com.
That’s a $429.97 saving for any savvy shopper keen on summertime swims.
The post read: “This is the cheapest I’ve seen for a pool bigger than 18ft … Comes with solar heater and sand filter pump.”
But bargain hunters will need to get to their nearest Costco this weekend to be a shot, with the deal to expire at 11.59pm Sunday.
The pool can also be bought on the Costco website but it is the “platinum series” version for a more expensive £499.98.
That’s £130 off the original online price of £629.38, the website says.
It features a corrosion-resistant steel frame, solar water heater to warm the pool, pool side walls, a built-in drain valve and seal and lock system.
It also comes with a maintenance kit and repair patch.
It’s always worth shopping around for the best deals, which can be done by plugging the product name into a quick Google search and browsing.
On the official Bestway website, it’s being sold for £949.99.
Even that was a discount, the site says, down from £1099.99 – making the Costco price look like a steal.
The platinum series can also be found on eBay for £549.
For those interested in smaller pools, Bestway has some other deals going.
It is selling a 12ft steel round pool for £249.99, down from £379.99 for a £130 saving.
A 10ft option is also up for £99.99 – £90 off the original £189.99 tag.
Costco also has a Intex “easy set” 10ft ring pool up for just £39.99 – down from £69.99.
Despite the cheap price tag customers are mostly raving about it, with 54 five-star ratings and only nine one-star ratings, making it a 4.1/5 on average.
It could be a bargain buy if you’re looking to entertain a couple of young kids.
