President Joe Biden called himself the ‘first black woman’ to serve in the White House and continues to stumble through public remarks when every single one matters following his debate debacle.

Biden, 81, made the gaffe on Thursday amid a media blitz to try to convince Americans that he is capable of continuing his reelection bid after a disastrous performance in the first debate against ex-President Donald Trump.

‘By the way, I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, first black woman, to serve with a black president,’ Biden told WURD black radio station host Andrea Lawful-Sanders, seemingly meaning to refer to his Vice President Kamala Harris and ex-President Barack Obama, respectively.

Without catching his own flub, he continued that he is ‘proud’ that he appointed the first black woman to the Supreme Court and that ‘there’s just so much that we can do together’ because ‘this is the United States of America’.

It was just one blunder of multiple blunders he had during the interview that ran less than 15 minutes.

Biden also claimed puzzlingly he was the ‘first president that got elected statewide in the state of Delaware, when I was a kid’.

A spokesperson for the Biden campaign, Ammar Moussa, called reports on his verbal stumbles ‘absurd’.

‘It was abundantly clear what the president meant. This would be considered a perfectly normal speech pattern for any other person in America, and has certainly been normal for Joe Biden for his entire career,’ wrote Moussa on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday night.

‘What are we even doing anymore.’

Biden displayed more energy addressing a crowd at the White House for Fourth of July events, compared to his tired demeanor at the debate a week prior. But he still looked confused and lost his train of thought several times and misspoke at some points.

He strangely welcomed the crowd by saying, ‘Ho ho ho! Happy Independence Day!’

Biden was joined on stage by Harris, who introduced him as ‘extraordinary’.

Speculation that Harris may replace Biden at the top of the ticket for the November election was not ameliorated as Harris mistakenly referred to Biden as holding her title.

‘We give thanks to our commander-in-chief, the vice – the president of the United States! The extraordinary President of the United States Joe Biden!’ Harris said during the event.

Biden has a high stakes interview with ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos set to air on Friday evening, and is considered make-or-break for his continued bid for reelection.

The president reportedly told an ally that ‘he knows if he has two more events like’ the debate he ‘screwed up’ on, he may not be able to salvage his campaign.
