Love Island star Ayo’s friends and family slammed after social media posts shading Mimii after Casa Amor recoupling
FRIENDS and family of a Love Island star have been slammed in a scathing social media post.
The popular ITV2 dating show has welcomed new singletons in search of love in its 11th series.
After arriving in the villa on day one, Ayo Odukoya has coupled up with four different girls throughout the current run.
In scenes aired last night (July 4), the 25-year-old opted to recouple with Casa Amor newcomer Jessica Spencer.
This ended his partnership with Mimii Ngulube, the third girl who had coupled up with Ayo so far.
The 24-year-old is now single in the villa, having chosen to stick with Ayo after Casa.
Meanwhile, an account on X, formerly Twitter, under the handle @ayoloveisland claims to be managed by family and friends of the Love Island star.
The page reacted to a post highlighting couples from Casa Amor that are still going strong, with the “eyes” emoji, typically used to draw attention to something.
As it happens, the post featured Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, who have since gotten engaged.
It also shouted out Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowaki, who were reported earlier this year to be considering a major step.
Addressing the reaction by @ayoloveisland, an outraged viewer wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Being shady towards a girl that actually likes your mate/brother and has done nothing but prove that in the last five weeks – because he decided to recouple and she didn’t scream, cry [or’] throw up like you wanted her to?
“Ayo and his clique just a bunch of weirdos. #loveisland.”
It comes as two other accounts described Mimii as “boring”, with one of them remarking that she “has no expression.”
Ayo and Jessica formed a close connection soon after the latter’s arrival during Casa Amor.
It appeared not to take long for Ayo to have his head turned, while viewers were horrified after a confession he made.
While the pair were relaxing, Ayo told Jessica that he’d “have had a girlfriend” on day one if she’d been there at the beginning.
Fans to X to share their reactions, as one wrote: “Ayo wanting Jessica to be his girlfriend which he never told mimii HES FAKE ASF #LoveIsland.”
