Aluminium Chair

Aluminium Chair is a minimalist chair created by Netherlands-based designer Pelle Dekker. Currently, Dekker is developing a series of minimalist furniture pieces using sheet metal and metal tubes. The inaugural piece in this collection is the ‘Aluminum Chair.’ This minimalist design features two sheets of brushed aluminum, each folded three times by machine to create its shape. The two sheets are then secured together with four hex bolts. Alongside his design work, Dekker is pursuing a degree in Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology, where he is gaining foundational knowledge in design and engineering. Crafted from two sheets of brushed aluminium, this minimalist design showcases simplicity and precision. Each sheet undergoes a meticulous process of three machine folds, shaping it into the intended form. The two folded sheets are then seamlessly connected using four hex bolts, embodying a clean and functional aesthetic.
