Katy Perry Sizzles in Barely-There Fourth of July Look

Katy Perry celebrated the Fourth of July this year by showing off her uh, patriotism, among other things, in steamy Instagram post plugging her upcoming single.
The 39-year-old posed in a glittery stars and stripes bikini top, just barely covering her ample cleavage. She also wore a red and white polka-dotted bandana over her hair and flexed a toned bicep, in a nod to the infamous 1943 "We Can Do It!" World War II poster, which was intended to boost female worker morale.
"BB UR A FIREWORK," Perry all-caps captioned the image, referencing her 2010 single "Firework" from her third studio album, Teenage Dream. "And speaking of work," she added, "'Woman’s World' is going to work in one week, happy 4th."
Perry previously announced back in June that "Woman's World" would drop on July 11. It will be the first single off of her forthcoming album, which currently does not have a title or release date, and the first new music she has put out in nearly four years.
The new single comes as Perry announced the decision earlier this year to step down from American Idol, where she's served as a judge alongside Lionel Ritchie and Luke Bryan since the enduring reality show relaunched in 2018.
"I love Idol so much," she told the audience on Jimmy Kimmel Live! back in February. "It’s connected me with, like, the heart of America. But I feel like I need to feel that pulse of my own beat, you know what I’m saying?"
"I have some things planned for this year. It’s going to be a very, very exciting year," she added.
