Lafayette drug bust seizes over 100 pounds of marijuana

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – An undercover operation led to two arrests and seizure of over 100 pounds of marijuana.
According to Lafayette Police, the Narcotics Unit of LPD conducted an undercover operation on July 3 in the 200 block of Highland Oaks Lane. Agents recovered approximately 113 pounds of high-grade marijuana with an estimated street value of $1,028,600.00.
Gregory Chaisson, 63 of Lake Charles and Blade Chaisson, 30 of Lafayette were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Both were booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
The investigation is on-going.
