In her viral video, Natalya Toryanski (@natalyatoryanski) broke down each step of her hair oiling routine.

“This is the formula to not have crusty, dusty, thin hair,” she told her audience.

She explained that anyone hoping to boost their growth should be oiling their hair at least once a week.

Natalya described using scalp-strengthening treatments as a “non-negotiable.”

As well as treating your roots, she recommended focusing on the body and ends with pure castor oil.

The TikToker used the $8 Mielle Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil and the $11 Shea Moisture 100% Pure Jamaican Black Castor Oil.

Natalya advised her followers to leave the product in for a few hours or overnight before washing it out.

After showering, she recommended applying Moroccan oil to your locks and leaving it in.

She showed her viewers the brand she uses, the $30 Morocconoil Leave-In Conditioner.

Next, Natalya worked the $17 Kerastase Elixir Beautifying Oil into her hair.

She explained that the effect of both leave-in oils leaves her “speechless.”

Before using any heat on her hair, Natalya applied the $14 Kenra Blow Dry Spray.

She also recommended the brand’s $22 Silkening Spray.

Natalya also steered her followers away from straightening their hair, explaining that it loses volume and ends up looking flat.

Instead, she suggested investing in a $600 Dyson Blow Dryer with a large bristle brush.

Tips for styling thinning hair

Rachael E. D Sey is a certified trichologist with almost 15,000 Instagram followers.

She revealed to The U.S. Sun how to protect hair from further loss.

Hairstyles

Sey recommended opting for a top knot or loosely braided ponytail over styles that tension strands.

She also advised to limit the use of heat tools such as a hair dryer or straightener.

Those who have afro hair, should avoid braids or consider larger braids.

DIY treatments

The trichologist said hair should be washed regularly and trimmed every six weeks.

She recommended using hair oils to help “improve scalp circulation and follicles.”

She demonstrated how to section off your hair while drying for the best results.

Natalya also recommended sleeping with your hair in a loose bun so as not to cause any damage or breakage.

As well as helping to protect your hair, the style will give you an effortless finish.

She explained that when you take it down in the morning, it will look like you got a blowout.

Natalya previously spoke about a showering mistake that stunted her hair growth.
