China urges EU to ‘meet halfway’ on electric vehicle dispute

The Chinese government urged the European Union to “meet China halfway” to resolve the ongoing trade dispute over electric vehicles on Thursday (4 July), as Beijing steps up its efforts to ensure that the provisional tariffs on China-made EVs that will enter into force on Friday do not become permanent.
