Bridget Moynahan Reportedly Has No Regrets That Her Relationship With Tom Brady Didn't Work Out

0

When Bridget Moynahan and Tom Brady announced their split in February 2007, it was messy. She was three months pregnant, and he had already moved on with supermodel Gisele Bündchen. Their breakup wasn’t an amicable one either and it took years for them to find a sweet spot to co-parent their son, Jack, 16. However, the 53-year-old actress has no regrets that her relationship with the former NFL star ended.

Moynahan went on to find true love with businessman Andrew Frankel and getting her happily ever after would have looked much different if she stayed with Brady. “Sixteen years [after her split from Tom Brady], Bridget is in an incredibly happy place. Her husband and Jack’s stepdad, Andrew, is a really stable part of the whole equation, and he treats Jack and Bridget like royalty,” a Life & Style insider shared.

It was the former New England Patriots quarterback who ended their relationship, and the Sex and the City star revealed how difficult that time in her life was. “Going through that traumatic time of being heartbroken and then being pregnant turned my whole life upside down and inside out and just knocked the wind out of me,” Moynahan told Harper’s Bazaar in July 2008. “But I got so much out of that …” Brady’s exit gave her space to heal and find romance with Frankel.

“She works her butt off in her day job on Blue Bloods, but Andrew has a sizable fortune of his own to ensure she never has to work just for a paycheck,” the Life & Style source added. “Bridget has made the right decisions in her life after Tom that make her so much more than just a baby mama to the biggest athlete of the century.” The insider believes she had a “better life” because “her marriage is happy, she gets to do what she loves, and she has the right level of fame where she isn’t recognized everywhere she goes.”

Brady’s life was so football-focused, that it became an issue in his marriage to Bündchen, too. “I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom]. I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams,” she told ELLE in 2022. “I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do.” So, what did Brady do? He retired and then unretired, much to the chagrin of Bündchen and eventually leading up to their divorce. Moynahan’s path might have been the better one in the end.
