Traffic accidents in Afghanistan’s three provinces leave 9 dead and 7 injured
Local officials in Faryab, Samangan, and Nangarhar provinces report that 9 people have died and 7 others were injured in multiple traffic accidents.
According to the Traffic Department of Samangan Province, yesterday around 6 PM, a passenger minibus en route from Mazar-e-Sharif to Samangan deviated from the road at Gandi Walga area of Khulm district. As a result, four people were killed, and the driver was injured.
Simultaneously, in another incident in Samangan province last night, around midnight, due to a traffic accident in the Shbalghi area of Khulm district, one person was killed, and two others sustained injuries.
Meanwhile, officials in Nangarhar province also reported a traffic incident in the Khogyani district of the province. Following this traffic accident, one person lost their life, and two others, including one woman, were injured.
Similarly, in another similar incident in Faryab province, as a result of a traffic accident in the center of the province, three people lost their lives, and two others were injured.
Traffic incidents in the country continue to claim lives and are often attributed to driver recklessness and road conditions.
