Guardians activate RHP Nick Sandlin, recall SS Angel Martinez

The Cleveland Guardians made multiple roster moves Thursday, activating right-hander Nick Sandlin from the injured list, while recalling rookie shortstop Angel Martinez from Triple-A Columbus.

The club optioned both right-hander Eli Morgan and shortstop Jose Tena to Columbus.

Sandlin, 27, has not pitched for the Guardians since June 16 because of lower back inflammation. In h
