Liam Gallagher has always been a self-professed lover of The Beatles – but we didn’t put him down as a fan of crooner Elvis Presley.
The ex-Oasis frontman, 51, let his secret slip as a huge picture of the legendary US singer was spotted at his home in Highgate, London.
Liam inadvertently made the admission when it was seen in photos attached to his planning application to build a swimming pool and a bigger security fence at his mock Tudor mansion.
The pics also reveal that he’s got rid of his party wigwam in the back garden. The new plans show that he wants to erase his wild lifestyle completely as he’s also getting rid of a central firepit in the middle of the garden to make way for a a more relaxed setting of a summer house and sunloungers around the pool.
He’s also dumped the BBQ area for an uber-trendy outdoor pizza oven, which costs well over £2,000.
He’s having a feature tree at the front of the house – an Acer palmatum Bloodgood, a unique Japanese tree, which is a stunning purple colour.
The environmentally conscious star lives in a conservation area and has made sure that all his historic trees will be retained and the roots protected with special measures throughout construction.
Even the swimming pool – which can be annoyingly loud for neighbours – will have a special heat pump, which means the noise level will be only 27 dB from ten metres away – the same as a soft whisper.
The planning application adds: “An air source heat pump has been proposed to meet the heating requirements of the proposed swimming pool.
“This essential component is designed to efficiently regulate the pool’s temperature while minimising environmental impact, with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint associated with pool heating and avoiding the use of gas.”
We previously revealed how former party boy Liam was given the green light for a “new external doors, internal alterations and refurbishment works”, which includes a fancy booze room – complete with a posh bar and stools – next to his living room.
Lime and sodas might be just as popular as pints though, with the clean-living star recently saying: “You’ve got to undo all the bad work you’ve done through f***ing getting off your head and all that.
“It’s time to undo it all now and get back to reality. All that stuff that you thought was cool in the early days, it’s time to get healthy.”
