But after a table collapsed on her, the comedian erupted into a foul-mouthed rant[/caption]

But ahead of Monty Don back on screens, Jenny Eclair has warned fans could hear her drop expletives on air.

The comedian and TV star shared with fans how she was invited to a bash in Hampton Court – where the BBC show was being recorded.

Jenny, 64, explained: “When a very heavy picnic table with metal strut (unfortunately not correctly assembled) collapses on you and the old man, and amongst the first people to come to your aid are Anita Dobson and Sir Brian May! What I call an eventful day.”

She continued: “Table collapse [continued] when the incident occurred we were within a few yards of a film crew for Gardeners’ World.

“Listen closely on Friday and you might hear a hysterical me yelling ‘F***ing hell, what the sh***ing f***, Jesus Christ’ etc. in the background!”

It’s almost certain Jenny’s f-bomb won’t make it into the Gardeners’ World episode, but her fans were left in hysterics by her admission.

One said: “I’m now going to watch Gardners World for the first time ever…”

A second wrote: “Oops, the roses will surely be blushing lol.”

“Yaaaass! I love Gardeners World but will love it even more if I can hear you giving it laldy,” said a third.

While a fourth posted: “You are BOUND to be invited back next year…”

The rise and rise of Monty Don

SINCE bursting onto our TV screens in Gardeners' World in the early noughties, Monty Don has been a much-loved star.

Before finding fame on TV, and together with his wife Sarah, Monty set up a lucrative jewellery business in the early 80s.

Monty then joined the popular BBC show as presenter in 2003, taking over from the out going Alan Titchmarsh, and has been there ever since.

Every since he burst onto the scene, he has become a familiar face on the box.

Away from Gardeners’ World he is also known for Monty Don’s Italian Gardens, as well as the FrenchAmerican and Japanese versions of the show.

Monty also hosted The Secret History of the British Garden
