A TRAVELLER woman has hit back at trolls who claimed she wasn’t a real gypsy.

Tracey King, 50, took to social media clapping back at the troll who said her home needed to be spotless to call herself a traveller.

But Tracey was quick to prove the haters wrong[/caption]

In a recent clip Tracey showed off her youngest daughter, Scarlett’s bedroom which was classically messy for a teenager.

The 13-year-old had piles of clothes, shoes and accessories lying around and Tracey wasn’t happy by the mess.

But one person responded to the video, saying: “Travellers are spotless, shows she doesn’t follow your ways of cleanliness.”

The mum-of-four was quick to hit back stating she must have to hand her ‘gypsy license in.’

Tracey said: ” Oh my God, that one made me laugh.”

“I’m dirty so I’ll hand in my gypsy license,” she added.

But Tracey wasn’t going to take it quietly, and showed viewers around her pristine home.

She started off in the front room where everything was perfect in place and spotless.

Then she made her way to the hallway where a barrier was kept up to stop her dogs from going upstairs before heading to the bathroom.

It was immaculate with matching floral furniture and not a speck of dust in sight.

Her red and gold floral kitchen was also kept clean and tidy with show dining ware decorating the oven.

Tracey added: “Our houses are spotless. But we have kids.

“We have teenage girls trying different clothes, makeup, everything.”

The clip has since gone viral on her TikTok account @traceywinter1 with over 200k views and 5k likes.

Facts on Gypsy and Traveller communities

Typically, Gypsies is a term used to describe Romani people, who migrated to Europe from India.

Meanwhile, traveller refers to a group of people who usually have either Irish, Scottish or English heritage.

It’s though that around 300,000 Gypsy Roma and Irish Travellers live in the UK.

Both groups come from nomadic ways of life, however, as it is increasingly difficult to find land to live on many are moving into permanent housing.

They place high value on family life and often live close together even after reaching adult years and getting married.

Often the men are the breadwinners of the family while the women stay home.

While many English gypsy girls are allowed to drink alcohol and go on holiday with their friends before they get married, many Irish traveller girls are not allowed to do this.

People were quick to praise Tracey’s incredible home.

One person wrote: “You got a beautiful home it’s spotless never seen such a clean looking house.”

Another commented: “Lovely house!”

“I’m a traveller and have feral kids and a dog in my house so I must need to hand in my license as well,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “I don’t think she was saying your house is dirty she’s saying Scarlett doesn’t follow the gypsy way of cleaning.”

“Take no notice You should be proud of yourself You home is beautiful,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “Wow that is one of the best houses I’ve ever seen I love absolutely everything. How do you keep it so clean?”

It was soon realised that the person who left the comment was saying Scarlett didn’t take after Tracey’s clean ways.

But Tracey proved she did as she showed Scarlett giving her mum a helping hand with the vacuum.
