Diddy Under Federal Criminal Investigation Amid Multiple Lawsuits (Report)

Sean “Diddy” Combs is said to be under federal criminal investigation in New York.

On Wednesday (July 3), NBC News reported that the 54-year-old rapper was being looked into and that a federal grand jury was hearing evidence.

The investigation is said to be taking place in the Southern District of New York.

While it is ongoing, the outlet noted that “there is no indication that charges are imminent.”

While two sources close to Diddy informed the outlet about the investigation, the U.S. Attorney’s Office did not return a request for comment, and the musician’s team also declined.

Legal experts explained to the outlet that Diddy was currently viewed as a “subject.” If he was referred to as a “target” then “prosecutors likely intend to seek an indictment from the grand jury against the person.”

At this time, he “has not received a target letter.”

It is not clear what the investigation is about. His home was raided earlier this year amid sex trafficking allegations.

The same day that we learned of the investigation, Diddy was accused of sex trafficking in a lawsuit filed against him by a former employee.
