PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man has been found guilty of murder in a 2022 shooting in Northeast Portland in which one person died, one was injured and a third was shot at.

According to the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office, a jury found 24-year-old Isai Ramos Damian guilty of second-degree murder and other charges on Wednesday. He was arrested in Gresham by U.S. Marshals in February 2023.

The Portland Police Bureau previously identified the woman who died in the shooting as 42-year-old Gladis Mendoza-Hernandez.

The original incident happened on July 6, 2022, with PPB officers responding at 11:22 p.m. to reports of a shooting near East Burnside Street and Northeast 148th Avenue. Once there, responding officers said they found a woman, later identified as Mendoza-Hernandez, dead and a male victim nearby. The man, later identified as Brandon Dunn, was rushed to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries to his lower extremities and later released.

The DA's office revealed a third victim, Ricardo Torres, was also shot at by Ramos Damian, who reportedly opened fire as he passed by all three people in his vehicle. It's unclear whether Torres sustained any injuries.

A 12-person Jury convicted Ramos Damian of second-degree murder with a firearm, second-degree assault with a firearm, four counts of unlawful use of a weapon with a firearm and two counts of first-degree attempted murder with a firearm.

Ramos Damian, who remains in custody in Multnomah County, is slated to be sentenced on July 12.
