To the editor: Lucas County government is defective

In 2011 a nonpartisan citizen group came together to discuss the merits of reforming Lucas County government. The people on the committee had various backgrounds in legal, judicial, government, medical, energy, finance, education, and urban planning. The committee learned about all the aspects of how county government is run.
