Joey King Reveals a Time An Assistant Went 'So Beyond' For Her, Changing Her Life

Joey King is opening up about a time when an assistant really went above and beyond for her.

If you missed it, the 24-year-old actress plays an assistant to Zac Efron‘s character in their new Netflix movie A Family Affair, which is out now.

While promoting the rom-com, Joey shared a sweet story of how her assistant in Romania, while she was filming the Hulu limited series We Were The Lucky Ones, put in some extra work on her behalf, which ended being life-changing for her family.

“Oh my God, shout out to Eva, Eva in Romania,” Joey shared with Entertainment Weekly. “Hi, Eva! Eva was my assistant when I was filming this show called We Were the Lucky Ones. I adopted my dog Fable in Romania and I had to get her back to the U.S., and Eva — this is, like, so beyond the description of what her job was — helped me with all the paperwork, getting everything sorted.”

“It was a huge job, and she took care of everything,” she continued. “So I’m able to have my dog with me in the States now because Eva worked so hard to make that happen. So thank you, Eva; I love you.”

“It was a lot of work,” Joey added. “She was Superwoman, really… I was like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe she did that. That’s amazing.’”
