Love Island fans’ hearts break for Mimii after Ayo makes girlfriend revelation to Jessica
LOVE Island fans have been left feeling ‘heartbroken’ for a popular star amid a show tradition.
The popular ITV dating programme returned for its 11th series last month, with a new batch of singletons in search of romance.
Mimii Ngulube, 24, from Portsmouth was among those who arrived at the villa on day one.
She is currently coupled with Ayo Odukoya, 25, from Canning Town.
However, the pair have been momentarily separated by the Casa Amor stage of the show.
While Mimii and the other original girls are currently in Casa Amor with six new boys, Ayo has been getting close with bombshell Jessica Spencer back at the main villa.
In Wednesday’s (July 3) episode, viewers were left horrified after Ayo made a confession to Jessica.
While the pair were relaxing, Jessica admitted she wished that she had been at the villa since the beginning.
Hearing this, Ayo replied: “I feel you, I feel you.
“Yeah, that would’ve been mental. I would’ve had a girlfriend after the first -“.
Jessica cut him off, as she said: “You’d have had a girlfriend first day, innit?”
Fans watching at home were quick to share their disgust, while taking to X, formerly known as Twitter.
One wrote: “Ayo made me sick in my head fam ngl how are you ask Jessica to be your girlfriend are ready are you serious #loveIsland.”
Another commented: “So after Ayo told Jess he would have made her his girlfriend if she was in the villa from the beginning.
“You still want me to believe he liked Mimi and she wasn’t just a place holder.#Loveisland.”
A third remarked: “Ayo wanting Jessica to be his girlfriend which he never told mimii HES FAKE ASF #LoveIsland.”
