Will mail be delivered July 4?
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – United States Postal Service employees will be celebrating a day of independence from their routes July 4, so residents expecting mail or packages may have to wait until Friday for those deliveries.
The USPS will pause services for the holiday, one of 11 it recognizes annually. There will be no mail delivery, caller service or Post Office Box service. Self-service kiosks will still be available.
Amazon will also be halting service delivery to celebrate Independence Day, one of seven annually recognized holidays. Amazon will recognize three more holidays after July 4 this year: Labor Day on Sept. 2, Thanksgiving Day on Nov. 28, and Christmas Day on Dec. 25.
Most of FedEx’s services will also be closed, although FedEx Custom Critical will remain open. FedEx offices will also be open with some modified hours. Columbus FedEx offices will still offer services at these hours:
