Luke Kennard Update - No Contract Yet
However he may still stick with Memphis
A while back, former Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski explained the NBA in a succinct way, saying (more or less) that while a few guys were stars, most everyone is a role player. And if you embrace that, you have a chance at a long and lucrative career.
That’s pretty much where Luke Kennard is. Memphis has declined his option, making him an unrestricted free agent.
The Grizzlies would like to keep him though and it looks like Kennard would like to stay.
Free agency now is pretty complicated and Memphis has to figure out a lot of moving parts as you’ll see here. But if they can work it out, Kennard might get to stay.
And if not?
Well, he’s one of the NBA’s best three point shooters and there's always a market for that.
