'Praying': Insiders reveal unlikely allies quietly plotting to keep Biden on the ballot

President Joe Biden has garnered a slew of unlikely allies who are taking quiet yet bold steps to ensure he remains on the presidential ballot in 2024, insiders say in a new report.

Conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation is rallying Republicans around Biden, the candidate they feel most confident their own controversial candidate — the first former president to be convicted of criminal charges — can beat, nonprofit news site NOTUS reported Wednesday.

"Joe Biden is an anvil wrapped around the neck of every Democrat candidate and incumbent,” one senior GOP strategist told NOTUS. “Republicans should be praying nonstop he stays in the race.”

The Heritage Oversight Project quietly researched swing state election laws and circulated their findings in a memo released ahead of the debate, according to the report.

It goes so far as to name Wisconsin, Nevada and Georgia as states where legal action could be taken to keep Biden on the ballot, the report notes.

“That would make the process difficult and perhaps unsuccessful," the memo reportedly warns.

Oversight Project Executive Director Mike Howell, who authored the memo, and Zack Smith, a senior legal fellow at Heritage, both confirmed to NOTUS the conservative foundation is ready to go should Democrats try to swap out Biden.

“The problem that any potential replacement for Joe Biden would likely run into is that in many states, including in several key states, the deadline for getting on the ballot has already passed,” Smith told NOTUS.

Added Howell, "We would make it extraordinarily difficult."

The Heritage Foundation is the dark money-funded think tank behind a recent drive behind "aggressive voter suppression measures in battleground states" and former President Donald Trump's Project 2025 platform.

Project 2025 calls for, among other policies, eliminating the Education department and mass deportations.

Democrats describe it as a "dystopian plot."
