DANDRUFF can put a damper on anyone’s style, but one woman figured out how to banish it for good.

Redditor Blancaloma dished the details in a comment on the social media platform.

She said the effectiveness of the single ingredient left her impressed.

The Redditor shared her step-by-step routine while also giving a warning about storing the product.

WHAT’S COOKING?

She said she uses vinegar to keep her scalp pristine and flake-free.

“I was really impressed with how fast vinegar knocked [my dandruff] out,” she said.

“After shampooing I’d pour some on my head and massage my scalp (no fingernails, folks, just fingertips) and rinse before using conditioner.”

She warned others not to make the same storage mistake she did.

“I thought it’d be easier to have the vinegar in a spray bottle, but nope,” she wrote.

“So acidic, it [ate] the plastic tubing.”

She said that the treatment took about eight washes and a couple of weeks to nip her dandruff in the bud for god.

“Never had it again,” she added.

CROWD PLEASER

Another Redditor chimed in to share their own experience with using vinegar as part of a haircare regimen.

“[Vinegar is a] multi-purpose hair product,” they said.

“I put some in an old spray bottle for [a] hair detangler, which it also helps with, and dilute it with water.

“It is my go-to for a hair revitalizer when I don’t have time to take a full shower and have bed head, and as a pretreatment for hair straightening.

“It actually works better than store-bought sprays, in my opinion.

“Not sticky and hair is very soft and shiny compared to products marketed for that.”

“I swear vinegar is some magic elixir s**t,” another added.

“Clothes stink? Clothes not soft? Coffee pot taste funny? Dandruff? Impotence? It just does it all.”
