The Ordinary’s Retinol 0.5% in Squalane Serum is sold for $8.60 at Ulta.

The brand says the retinol is for seasoned users of the skincare product.

Retinol has been known to target texture issues in the skin, including fine lines.

The brand advises applying it in the evening and wearing sunscreen when using it in the daytime.

RAVE REVIEWS

Several skincare shoppers sang their praises for the serum in the reviews section.

“Results overnight,” one gushed.

“I’m 30 years old with light skin, freckles, and some hormonal acne,” they said.

“My face is very tolerant to strong products as I’ve used many over the years for cystic acne, et cetera.

“I started slacking on my skincare over the last year and my face was struggling — my blemishes wouldn’t go away with my salicylic toner and my overall skin was looking tired, uneven, and dull.

“I needed something intense enough to give my face a ‘fresh slate’ while I build up my routine again.

“I applied this at night and woke up with smooth, brightened skin.

“I could feel it ‘working’ right away, which I love. My blemishes are now all shrunken and less red.

“I’m so happy with it — exactly what I needed.”

“My skin looks beautiful,” another added.

“I never write reviews, but after about a week of use, my skin has seen visible improvements in tone, fine lines, and diminished scarring. Highly recommend.”

“Best facial ever,” a third gushed.

“I’m 51 years old and don’t look it because of [The] Ordinary retinol facial oil.”

One even said the product works on other places besides her face.

“Helps with my aging arm skin,” she wrote.

“I use this on my arms at night. It’s helping reduce the crepeyness of my skin. I follow with a good moisturizer once the retinol has dried.”
