Team News: MSV Duisburg (N)

David Gray has named two Hibernian FC sides for this afternoon’s pre-season friendly against German side MSV Duisburg; 2pm BST kick-off.

After a tough first few days in the Netherlands, our Head Coach has once again selected two sides that will feature for 45 minutes each. This allows Gray to carefully manage the players’ load, whilst improving their match fitness.

The first half team sees all three new signings start. Josef Bursik is in goal, with a back four of Lewis Miller, Marvin Ekpiteta, Warren O’Hora, and Jordan Obita in front of him. A midfield three is made up of Nathan Moriah-Welsh, Luke Amos, and Josh Campbell. Rudi Molotnikov is wide left, Martin Boyle wide right, and Dylan Vente up-front.

Martin Boyle will captain the first half team this afternoon.

The second half side has Jojo Wollacott in goal and a back four of Rory Whittaker, Riley Harbottle, Rocky Bushiri, and Kanayo Megwa. Joe Newell captains the side and is in a midfield three with Nohan Kenneh and Dylan Levitt. Jair Tavares is wide left, Chris Cadden wide right, and Elie Youan starts up-front.

Max Boruc is also on the bench for both sides.

Harry McKirdy won’t be risked for this afternoon’s friendly as the coaching staff continue to manage his load following the increase to his training schedule this pre-season.
