Huge new Taylor Swift exhibition to open in the UK later this month – and it’s free to enter
A NEW exhibition dedicated to Taylor Swift is set to open right in time for the school summer holidays.
It’s been over a year since The Eras Tour made its debut in Arizona, with performances still set to take place throughout Europe.
And for those Swifties who’ve bagged concert tickets for her upcoming London dates in August, the English capital just got even more exciting.
This is because some of Taylor Swift‘s personal items will be going on display at the V&A Museum in South Kensington, London.
The huge new exhibition, which is called Taylor Swift | Songbook Trail, will celebrate the creativity of the pop icon’s costumes, music videos and lyrics.
According to the V&A Museum, the exhibition will also explore the artist’s childhood and recording legacy.
There will be 16 looks on display throughout the trail, including 13 stops where fans of the 14-time Grammy Award-Winning artist will be able to learn more about their favourite pieces.
Each one of the stops will showcase a chapter in Taylor Swift’s career, providing a spotlight on a particular era of her music.
The costumes and accessories are on loan from Taylor’s personal collection, including a pair of customised cowboy boots and a jet-black ruffled shoulder dress from her recent music video Fortnight.
Other items like instruments, music awards and storyboards will also go on display at the V&A.
The exhibition will run from July 27, 2024, to September 8, 2024.
Entry into the exhibition is free, with no pre-booking required.
Kate Bailey, who is the senior curator in Theatre and Performance at the V&A said: “We are delighted to be able to display a range of iconic looks worn by Taylor Swift at the V&A this summer – each celebrating a chapter in the artist’s musical journey.
“Taylor Swift’s songs – like objects – tell stories, often drawing from art, history and literature.”

OTHER NEW EXHIBITIONS IN LONDON
Moco Museum
Moco Museum will open takeover a shop on Oxford Street following the success in Amsterdam and Barcelona.
The award-winning attraction hopes to open this summer and will feature immersive artworks from famous artists like Banksy, Warhol and Tracy Emin.
Exhibitions already announced include Modern Masters – showing outstanding artists – as well as Contemporary Masters.
And the permanent Digital Immersive Art with “create multi-sensory environments that elevate and empower your museum experience”.
Tickets will cost €19.95 (£17), compared to €14.95 (£13) in Barcelona and €21.85 (£19) in Amsterdam.
London Museum
Set to reopen in 2026, the former Museum of London is currently moving locations.
The £437million attraction closed back in 2022, leaving its Barbican address for Smithfield.
The museum’s director Sharon Ament previously said: “Our museum is about London – London’s impact on the world and the world’s impact on London.”

London is full of cheap places to eat, without having to go hungry.
He visited the following places during our affordable weekend: Icco Pizza, Jerusalem Bar and Kitchen, La Brioche cafe, Lanzhou Lamian, Chinatown Bakery, Fischcotheque, Quatre Seasons cafe, Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese and The India Club.
Transport
Ryan opted to use the buses rather than the tubes, with a daily price cap of £5.25 preventing the costs from racking up.
