Man dead after stabbing himself and woman

A 26-year-old man died on Wednesday after having stabbed a woman and himself the previous day.

The man had been in a critical condition at the Nicosia general hospital after having broken into a house in Strovolos and stabbed a 27-year-old domestic worker and then himself.

The woman remains in a serious condition. The pair had reportedly until recently been in a relationship.

The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
