Glenridge Road bridge in Glenville struck by truck
GLENVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Glenridge Road bridge, well known in the area for its propensity for being struck, has once again been hit by a truck. The collision occurred around 3:11 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
Glenville Police say a delivery truck was heading east on Glenridge Road when it struck the bridge, causing extensive damage to the box compartment. According to police, no one was injured in the crash.
In a statement to officers, the truck's driver said he was focusing on the car in front of him and failed to see the flashing warning signal. The driver was cited for vehicle and traffic law violations and is scheduled to return to the Glenville Court at a later date.
