During the pandemic, many of us got the interior design and home improvement bug. After spending so much time inside, we started noticing all the things we’d love to change or fix in our homes to make it better. For my family, that bug never went away. Almost four years later, my mother is still trying to figure out how to update our family home with new decor, and one space she’s had trouble with is our guest room. Itching to have a brand new bedroom set but not wanting to spend a lot of cash on furniture that she probably wouldn’t love years later — my mom felt like she had zero options. Luckily, her gracious daughter is a shopping writer and knows a thing or two about innovative ways to refresh your home.

When I first discovered the viral bed frame company SoftFrame, I immediately thought of my mom. Although the furniture company is rather trendy, it seemed like the perfect solution for our home’s guest room debacle. Initially, my mom had a bare metal bed frame that made the room look unfinished. Wanting something more seamless, I knew a SoftFrame bed frame would be the perfect solution. Instead of investing in a whole new bed, SoftFrame worked with her existing box spring and instantly enhanced the room to make it look more complete. And while there’s a lot more that my mom wants to do with that space, having the SoftFrame is helping to point her in the right direction.

To keep things simple, we opted for the Ultra Bed Frame in the color Dune. Compared to the other options, the Ultra design has a thicker upholstered base that gives your mattress the appearance of effortlessly sitting on a plush platform. Its clean, streamlined silhouette would work well for the space and could go with any headboard or nightstand options she would choose later down the line. A SoftFrame comes in three box spring heights, and the 8 to 9-inch option fits perfectly over our adjustable base.

Aside from aesthetics, the SoftFrame bed benefited our household in plenty of ways. Before the addition, our guests would often bump their toes on the corners of the old metal frame, which was never ideal. Plus, our family pup is a tiny teacup yorkie who would always find his way under the low bed, making it very hard for us to get to. With our new SoftFrame, that’s no longer an issue. It was incredibly easy to assemble, which was great for my mom, who’s not one to build things well.

If you’re looking to revamp your bedroom or work with a guest room that you just have no idea what to do with, I highly recommend investing in a SoftFrame. It’s an easy upgrade to any bed and will give your space a brand-new feeling without doing too much. You can get your new SoftFrame Bed Frame here
