Ryan Reynolds kicked off the promotional tour “Deadpool & Wolverine” on July 2 at a press conference in Shanghai, China wearing a pair of Converse sneakers.
Donning a white pair of the classic Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers, the shoes were crafted with canvas material in the upper and a durable rubber outsole. The laces were designed in a standard white color, with the shoes featuring the incorporation of medial eyelets for breathability.
While the black and white model is the most popular, the silhouette comes in over 15 colors, one of them being the all-white model worn by Reynolds for the press conference. As for the rest of his outfit, the actor kept it simple in a pair of dark blue slacks and a short sleeve crocheted top, which he paired over a white T-shirt.
Sitting next to Reynolds was co-star Hugh Jackman, who showcased a pair of sneakers that included a black rubber upper, and a white rubber outsole that gave him great grip and traction. The “X-Men” star went with a classy sneaker and suit look for the occasion, wearing a navy blue two-piece suit to complete his ensemble.
Reynolds typically keeps it casual when not wearing dress shoes for formal events such as the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes. In November 2023, he was spotted walking alongside wife Blake Lively in a pair of white canvas sneakers that featured white laces and a cloud-white rubber outsole. A couple months earlier, the pair were spotted strolling through the streets of New York City. For the outing, Reynolds chose a pair of retro-inspired terracotta and red Asics sneakers, which he teamed with a nautical navy blue and white striped long-sleeve shirt paired with blue-gray pants.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” focuses on Wolverine as he is recovering from his injuries. He then crosses paths with the loudmouth, Deadpool, and together they team up to defeat a common enemy. The film was directed by Shawn Levy, and releases in theaters on July 26.
