Offering collections of fossils and imagery from over 600 million years of Central Texas history, the Texas Science & Natural History Museum at UT exhibits erected dinosaur skeletons including a pterosaur and tyrannosaur.

Stop by the geology gallery to find smaller invertebrate fossils and meteorites.

Admission prices and visitation hours can be found on their website.

The Dino Pit, Austin Nature & Science Center

Take a trip to Zilker Park's Austin Nature & Science Center and dig at The Dino Pit, an educational dig site for finding fossil casts.

Also explore dinosaur trackways, a fossil display first found at a Congress Avenue construction site and an observation deck.

ANSC offers visitor programs including school field trips, birthday parties, camps, teacher training and adult workshops.

Admission for individuals and families is free and the hours of operation can be found on ANSC's section at austintexas.gov.

The Dinosaur Park, Cedar Creek

Located between Austin and Bastrop, The Dinosaur Park makes for a quick road trip for the family.

Designed as an outdoor museum, the park exhibits life-size dinosaurs shown with skin and color variations as they may have looked when they were alive, seen from a tree-lined nature trail.

The park offers a fossil dig, playground, picnic area and dinosaur-themed gift shop.

Hours and admission details can be found on The Dinosaur Park's website.
