Love Island’s Harriett Blackmore takes swipe at villa rival with savage post after being dumped from the villa

LOVE Island’s Harriett Blackmore has made sure she got the last laugh in her ongoing feud with Jess White thanks to a thinly-veiled swipe on Instagram.

Viewers were shocked when Harriett and Ronnie Vint were both dumped from the villa last week, after receiving the lowest number of votes by viewers choosing their favourite couple.

The elimination ended a month-long love triangle between Ronnie, Harriett and Jess that split the villa in half.

While Love Island viewers were devastated and crying “fix” at the exit, Harriett has since been determined to see the bright side.

In new pictures, taken behind-the-scenes of chat show Aftersun, Harriett posed in a sheer black dress, and next to Ronnie.

She captioned the pic: “The real prize” – something Jess consistently refers to herself as in the villa.

“Had the best time ever at aftersun last night @loveisland @itvxofficial,” she added. “Thankyou so much for having us”

But her cheeky note didn’t go unnoticed by fans who couldn’t help but laugh at the dig.

“The caption ah I love her,” wrote one.

Strictly star and TV presenter Saffron Barker added: “Say it again ”, with a third person writing: “the caption most iconic islander everrr get her on all stars”

Even former islanders from this year backed her up, with Samantha Kenny calling her “a vision” while Patsy Field shared a string of cry-laughing emojis and hearts.

Ronnie also chipped in, writing: “Winner Winner ”

The Feud to Date

Harriett and Jess made no secret that they didn’t get on during their time in the villa, both taking jabs as they fought for Ronnie’s affections.

Jess was initially coupled up with Ronnie, but soon he was sneaking off to the Hideaway with Harriett for secret snogging sessions.

While Ronnie refused to pick, the resentment between the two girls began to grow, with Harriett telling Jess he had been “eye-f***ing her all night” before they realised they were both being played.

Eventually, after a series of rows with Ronnie to make him force his hand, Jess removed herself from the situation, coupling up with Sean instead.

She declared in her speech at the recoupling ceremony: “Obviously, while he’s exploring other connections, I am not being made to feel second best.

“I am the prize and I am not going to be in competition with another woman in this villa.”

Ronnie would then stir the pot further by striking up a connection and kissing Tiffany Leighton, before ultimately reuniting with Harriett before they were dumped.

In final scenes, Jess was seen laughing as the pair were given their marching orders from the villa, and was even given the announcement text to read out.

At points, moments got so intensely awkward that viewers branded Jess a “bully” over her behaviour towards Harriett.

Speaking on the feud to Maya Jama while appearing on Aftersun, Harriett said: “For me, with Jess, I feel like I’ve always tried to be a bigger person.

“You know, the comments that she was making that I’ve seen now, I had no idea about, and maybe I would’ve taken a different approach if i knew what she was saying behind my back.”

“But at the end of the day, I did have to put my foot down at one point because it was just getting too much,” she added.

“But I do wish her all the best, there’s no bad blood.”

When asked by Maya if there’s a chance of forming a friendship once Jess’s time on the show is over, Harriett laughed: “I think I’ll leave that one in the villa.”
