Uttar Pradesh: Dreaded criminal shot dead in police encounter in Jaunpur

Sumit Singh, alias 'Chavanni', was fatally shot in Jaunpur district. Known for extortion threats and 24 criminal cases, he was declared dead at the district hospital. An SUV and an AK-47 rifle were found at the scene.
